She grew up in New Jersey, and like many of our all-star Campers of the Week, she now lives in New York City. Why do we praise her fashion skills, you ask? She is the super-stylish, ultra-cool Senior Sales and Merchandising Executive at Badgley Mischka. Read about how her style and artsy nature has grown from camp until now!
What are your top three essentials that you packed in your trunk?
Disposable cameras, my tennis racquet, and cool stationary!
What are three words to describe your camp experience?
Unforgettable, life-changing, and FUN!
Who was someone at camp that you looked up to?
I always looked up to my counselors. I remember wanting to be just like them “when I grew up.”
Why do you think it is important to go to camp?
It’s important for a child to go to camp for so many reasons. Camp gives children the capabilities to try new things and allows them to connect with all kinds of people. It’s a place that helps build self-confidence and self-esteem and enables children to become independent without everyday influences that they would experience at home. Most importantly, camp is where children foster incredible friendships that they will cherish forever.
What is your favorite camp memory?
Being Color-War General of The Blue Pirates of the Caribbean and winning!
Words of wisdom for current and future campers?
You are lucky and fortunate to be a camper! Enjoy every summer moment, try new things, make new friends, and don’t take it for granted. Oh..and keep in touch with your camp friends over the school year. Your camp friends will always be your best friends.
What is your favorite camp tradition?
Girl’s sing and rope burn. “Burn that fire higher, higher!”
What was your favorite camp food?
Wednesday night BBQ’s. I always had a veggie burger and pickles and it was the only time we were allowed to have soda.
What is your favorite camp cheer?
“1-2-3-4 we want color war, 5-6-7-8 we don’t want to wait!”

What is your favorite camp word/expression?
“10 months for 2.”
What is your favorite movie about camp/that you saw at camp?
Indian Summer.
What do you prefer – pool or lake?
Lake.
Canteen or ice cream?
Canteen….that’s where we saw the boys.
What were your favorite camp activities?
Waterskiing, tennis, and making jewelry.
Favorite camp memento?
My general T-shirt. I still wear it to sleep.
Did you ever get homesick at camp? How did you deal with that?
I never really got homesick. I was always happy at camp; it was my “home away from home” and I was with my second family.
