Where did you go to camp, how many years did you attend?
Camp Akiba , 7 summers
Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
I grew up in Wayside, Nj and now live in Marlboro, New Jersey
We know you have a couple future campers on the horizon – why do you think it is important for children to go to camp?
I want my children to have the same amazing memories that I have. My camp friends are not just my camp friends they are my family that I know I could always depend on.
What is your favorite/most epic camp memory?
Pulling into camp and seeing the sign, “There are no strangers here only friends you have not met.” I just remember the most amazing feeling knowing that I was at my summer home.
How has camp influenced your life?
I feel every aspect in my life has been influenced from camp. From friendships to boys, camp will always be a big part of who I am today.
What are your top three essentials that you packed in your trunk?
cup-a-soup, cute social clothes, and fun stationery to trade.
What are three words to describe your camp experience?
memories, friendship, laughter
What is your favorite camp tradition?
Rope burn, winning color war, and firefly the last night of camp.
What was your favorite camp food?
brother /sister cook outs
What is your favorite camp cheer?
All our division songs, examples… “we are the eye girls the eye girls are we” (only akibites would understand)
Favorite canteen candy?
Charleston chew
What was your favorite camp activity?
water skiing/jetskiing
